Church Covenant

Having received the Holy Ghost in the name of Jesus Christ and having been publicly baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins, we freely and joyfully enter into covenant with one another as one body in Christ.

We pledge, therefore, by the aid of God’s Spirit, to live together in Saintly love; to work for the advancement of God’s kingdom through this church in knowledge, holiness, and mutual care; to support its ministry by a faithful stewardship of money, time, and talents; and to sustain its worship, ordinances, doctrines, and disciplines.

We also pledge to maintain family and private worship, to rear our children in the nurture and spirit of the Lord; to seek to save of all members of our own families and of our acquaintances; and to strive for maturity in ourselves and in our fellow Saints.

We further pledge to follow Godly principles in morality in our daily living; to be ethical in our dealings and faithful in our commitments; to promote the unity of fellowship by proper attitudes and careful speech; and to be zealous in our efforts toward the advancement of the kingdom of God here and throughout the world.

Order of Service

Tree of Life is a faith healing church.  We began with simultaneous individual prayer, wherein all that is able bow on our knees.  Prayer is followed by a scripture reading that is rendered by the officiating deacon.  Testimony service is then opened for everyone to testify their lives to the glory of God.  After testimony service is closed, the choir sings while freewill offering is collected; when collection has been obtained, the service is turned over to the pastor or his appointed representative in his absence.  The sermon is then preached, which is followed by prayer and dismissal by the pastor or his appointed representative.
